The Word for 2021: POSSIBILITIES

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through him who gives me strength.

The word I have chosen for 2021 is Possibilities. Thanks to some feedback from others, I’ve also added a related Bible verse to reflect on too. Because nothing is impossible with God. All those secret hopes and dreams I carry in my heart are not a secret from God.

I hesitated when this word first came to mind because possibilities, while carrying mostly a positive connotation, also hints at a suggestion of hard work, as in I will have to do my part to move forward in making my dreams come true. And frankly, after a year like we’ve had, I’m exhausted. But I am not alone in my endeavors. God will lift me when I am weary.

Here are some other Bible verses related to the word possibility:

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” ~ Matthew 19:26

For nothing will be impossible with God. ~ Luke 1:37

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God.” ~ Mark 10:27

He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you.” ~ Matthew 17:20
