One pound down

Since I weigh in every Tuesday at TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), I’ll just report in on my blog every Wednesday morning with how I am doing in my weight loss challenge.  Tonight I weighed in 1 pound less, and this after only four days of the mini-meals, and only one walk with my sister.  She was camping on Friday and this morning it was raining, so there was only the one Monday walk in the days since I’ve challenged myself to write my way thinner. I did take one bicycle ride alone, and a couple short rides with the girls in there, too, but mostly it was watching what I eat and doing the “mini-meals.”  The mini-meal deal is difficult to do on the days that I go somewhere but I’ll figure out a way to take something with me; raspberries or protein bars, or something portable.  I am still anxiously awaiting the Hy-Vee stores globe grapes. (seedless)  They are the best!

I won’t order it until I figure out what other book I “need” so I can get free shipping, but I always love her writing in magazines.  She has such a down-to-earth view of food and body image that you just want her for your girlfriend, so she can say, “Go ahead, take a piece of cake. But make it a thin piece and just take a bite or two and mindfully enjoy it.”
